****ALL SOLD NOW =) ****
WILLOW is our pet Springer Spaniel and this is her only litter and a one off for us. She has done a fabulous job of raising 5 healthy, thriving puppies. They are ready NOW! At 8 weeks it is time for them to make their new homes with their new families.
Spaniels enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle and in return they are loving and loyal, happiest with you. Our pups are being raised in our family home so they are well socialized and fun loving. With life on our alpaca smallholding the boys are used to being around other animals including our cat, hens and alpacas!
They are up to date with worming and de-fleaing. They have been Vet checked, micro-chipped and vaccinated. They are KC Registered.
We are asking £350 but the price IS negotiable for the right home =)
The birthing season is in full swing. With four gorgeous cria arriving safely so far and Willows great mothering skills raising five healthy pups! An amazing privilege to watch these young animals grow....
With plenty of sunshine and showers the veg garden is coming on a treat too ! Of course that means the weeds too, great to observe the alpacas eating the nettles that i had pulled out yesterday....detoxifying and nutritious! =)
A relaxed morning workshop making Willow Bird feeders in Gorsgoch s lovely village hall. I'm sure the local birds are happy with the end results !

I first visited Bird Farm Alpacas in December 2014 and met Emma Bird who gave time to show me their herd, she talked about the individual animals, clearly knew them well and then went on to carefully question my interests and facilities. This was not the first Alpaca breeder I had visited and having done a lot of research felt that I was well placed to make a decision about my starter herd but following this initial meeting there were emails and telephone conversations,Emma and Rodney also took time to visit my home.
It was not a rushed decision to purchase three females from Bird Farm Alpacas but perhaps one of the best that I have made in this whole adventure, many talk about support but I feel very certain that few give so generously of their time as Rodney and Emma do.
Before my three girls arrived I decided I would like a fourth but more mature girl and once again I was helped and guided and even after nine months when one of my girls was being difficult there was an offer to exchange this animal which I eventually accepted, what a difference it has made as I now have a very harmonious mix and I feel much more relaxed. These are just two examples of the many, many ways in which I have been supported.
It will soon be a year since my herd arrived,it has been a steep but wonderful learning curve.Emma and Rodney have been there for me every step of the way, their support has been far greater than I ever expected, every query and question has been responded to with speed, care and professionalism.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Bird Farm Alpacas to anyone but especially to those embarking on a new venture, this couple share their knowledge and experience, are highly caring and supportive and exceptionally moral and honest.
2015 got off to a very shaky start. for us.....January 14th 2015 now etched on my brain forever. I returned to Wales after a friend's funeral to find a fire engine blocking my gateway. My husband Rodney greeted me with the news that our house was on fire and I should expect to save nothing. A truly shocking experience to lose all our possessions but soon put into perspective when a fortnight later we learned that Rodney's Cancer had returned. Never a truer word said "If you have your health you have everything"! Thankfully Rodney s surgery went well and he finished treatment 2 weeks ago. 8-)
With the help and support of great family and friends ( old and new) and a lifestyle we love we have made it through and see 2015 out on a positive note. In October we received a call from http://tincanisland.co.uk/ and asked if we would film with Abz Love and Vicky Fallon who had recently quit their London lifestyle to pursue a similar dream to ours and live a greener, more sustainable lifestyle in Wales!
So if you want a giggle on Boxing Day tune in to watch 'Abz on the Christmas Farm'
